Introducing Le Guide Culinaire de Canoe!
Donate at least $15 and receive our 2012 Thank You gift: Le Guide Culinaire de Canoe.
Our illustrious chefs from this past summer, Aaron Andrews and Amanda Webber, have assembled some of their camp favorites: everyday dishes like soupe a l'oignon gratinée, desserts such as cannele de Bordeaux, favorite recipes from la classe de cuisine française, and some of the gourmet and truly unusual dishes from our Bon Voyage Banquets.
The cookbook is illustrated by our very own Eden Cooke, Summer Program Coordinator, who studies art and illustration at the Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver BC. These souvenirs of Canoe Island Summer 2012 include color photos of campers, banquets, barbecues and fondue on the beach.
Donation form
Please fill out the donation form and either pay via check or by using the Paypal Donate button at the top of the page.
Scholarship Fund
Please consider helping us extend the camp experience to children who need financial assistance. Your tax-deductible contribution of any amount, made payable to CIFC and marked "Scholarship donation", helps make partial scholarships available each summer to financially and academically deserving campers. A week of camp costs approximately $1000.
Facility Fund Donations are also sought for general operations and facility improvement. Campers experience the outdoors on a beautiful private island in the San Juan Islands of Northwestern Washington. Canoe Island’s unique architecture and ambiance make it a comfortable setting for campers to broaden their awareness of French history and culture while having fun and developing their care for each other and the natural environment. Together we can continue to maintain the facilities and develop Canoe Island French Camp’s curriculum for years to come and help to provide memories for campers that last a lifetime.
If you are considering a significant donation or are doing estate planning, please contact our Executive Director personally to discuss options for endowment donations, living trusts, or other donation options.
Thank you for your support!
